 We Are a Work of Art

"Hey, stare at that mirror, take a second and closer look at yourself, let that bright smile out, and embrace that enthusiasm because YOU ARE A WORK OF ART!"

This should be an introductory post, but how do I hide my flaws, pain, joy, and craziness under a facade or smokescreen that I'm tagging as an introduction? To be honest, I don't know but all I am going to say is that I am a piece of everything and nothing, a bunch of mystery daily unfolding. Don't expect much, don't expect less, just ride with me on this journey of life.

This space will be about a lot of issues I experience daily or might have experienced in my years on earth. So yeah it's going to be a long journey of fun, emotions, tears, craziness, and true revelations. You're free to come here often to laugh and lash out at me.

Okay, so my introductory post is about BODY SHAMING. Let me give you a brief narration of my experience. 

After years of enduring different comments from people about my body, most of which were derogatory, I stood by the mirror staring at myself in the form I was created, examining my scars, beauty, and flaws. This sublime moment threw me back to my teenage years when I was insecure about my stretch marks, and I hated it being obvious. At that moment, I realized that I had lived through the comments and insecurities and now, I could do nothing but smile at how lovely my stretch marks (zebra line) are. God indeed is a beautiful artist even though I am still a piece of art in progress.

 I want you to know that sometimes your scar, beauty, flaw, or insecurity gets the best of you and weighs down on you which is normal and humane but while feeling insecure, reflect on the fact that these imperfections are what make you unique and outstanding different and that you are perfectly perfect in your imperfections. When you think about this, you'd realize how beautiful you are! Live above the stereotype, Do not let your insecurities get the best of you, You are a piece of art worthy of admiring. 

Here is to Everyone like me let's relate and handle this life together. Rant! let it all out! Talk about it. Remember the world won't hear you until you speak. I am proud of you and I am here rooting for you!
