BE YOURSELF

For the umpteenth time, BE YOURSELF! 

Hey there, it's been a minute since our one year anniversary. I'm still excited about it and that's why I'm putting out this article. This conversation is going to bring a lot of controversies but we have to talk about it regardless. I'm a lot of things but definitely not a pretender. I'm a big fan of realers, people being themselves in every situation, ranging from relationship, to friendship, to even gatherings either big or small.

Let's face it, relationships and friendships in our generation are heavy with pretence, and it seems like the cycle is endless. More often than not, I hear expressions like "I can't eat like this around my man", "my woman must not see me like this", "my friends are woke so I have to match their vibe", blah blah blah and so on and in my head, I'm like "you're not being you! can you just free yourself already?"

A good relationship and or friendship should learn to accept you for who you are (that does not mean you should not work on your bad behaviours too 🙄) I strongly believe that individualism should be allowed to thrive, for every relationship and friendship to work. We all should learn to stay original, be ourselves. This world is already trying to change and influence us, so why stress again? I believe that in any circle we find ourselves, we should learn to be our best original  form, we really have to STOP pretending!!!. Be yourself, go for someone who loves you for you, don't be in a relationship or friendship where you constantly need to act. If you have an acting talent, you should be on the big screen making money, not practicing it freely for someone who might not be with you when you unveil the real you. Trust me, you are the best version of yourself when you build on your originality. 

I think I've said enough so, I'm going to conclude by saying that "the beauty of every relationship/ friendship is when everyone comes to the table with the real pieces of themselves and not a bag full of pretence." Remember to love your real self and also love everyone for whom they are! I love you and I am rooting for you.
